Quite disappointing. Not the thrills of the genuine version.

I strongly advise against purchasing this game. Koei has made no attempt to make an IPad version that would match the flexibility and versatility of the old PC game. The player is unable to carry out more than one command in each province before the game switches to the next province. The battle map is no better - I would say far worse - than the original PC version. The ONLY advantage to the new version is not having to use a keyboard. I am a fan of the old game but feel cheated by Koei, something other fans have also expressed on the Web. This now boring game is very expensive and basically a rip-off. It doesnt even rate one star.
Should be 1.99 Hard to figure out, and monotonous once learned. Has 0 replay value once winning strat is achieved and lacks any customizable features or options to campaigns. Save your money, only worth maybe 3 hrs of gameplay with no replay value....for now
Im a fan of nobunaga series But $9.99 is way too expensive for this game And this game is totally lack of features
Mindless game play. I actually spent alot of hours to complete the game. Challenging at first to build your state and army. However, once you start conquering other states you start to notice every state has maxes out their production. Boring game. And no updates since the download. Very disappointing game from Koei!!
I dont understand all the hate for this game, YES it is overprced, and would be a great value at 1.99 or even a fair price at 4.99. However, just for the nostalgia of the game for those who remember playing this on the SNES and loving it, this game is a nice update and with the larger maps then the original series it makes for a good bit of fun. If you found it too easy the first time and considered quiting after one play through, jack up the difficulty rating and try again... thiese new difficulty lvls make for a much more challenging game. Happy assassinating!
I love the turn based statecrafting games, but there is no way for this game to be fun, even on a nostalgic level. Dont waste your money or time on this piece of junk.
Its one of the classic history simulation series from KOEI back in 80s which pretty much allowed KOEI to exist what it is now. I remember KOEIs golden age when it was pretty much ruling the market with the genre until mid 90s. Its a good reminiscence for those who enjoyed KOEIs simulation series as young kids. Its also meaningful title for me since Im a big fan of Yoko Kanno who participated in many of KOEIs early games. I agree KOEIs price policy has been notorious. but its still worth their efforts to bring classic title back to new devices. So, I support them, and I hope they continue on releasing more of those classic series. Uncharted water would be awesome.
I like this game but it is way overpriced and is in need if an update. I loved the NES game so I put my money down. Could be worth the money if they did a complete redesign. The game lacks polish. Game itself is still fun, but repetative.
This game is an offense to human intelligence. Of all the possible Koei game ports... This?!? This isnt a Nobunagas Ambition game. This is barely Highschool-project level of quality. The most simplistic Koei games from the 8-bit era had a million times more depth than this.
I love this game. Spent countless hours back in the 80s playing the original version on my Nintendo system. It has a great balance of strategy and randomness that makes it fun to play over and over again. I wish it was available to play on my MacBook Pro too. All in all Im very happy I can play this game once again. Please make more games like this. Thank you!
The other Koei classic available on the iDevices, RotTK, is unplayable on its version 1.1 due to the damage received because of natural events. Didnt try the new version yet. As for the game, its very hard and I couldnt built an army good enough to last more than 1 hour, even if I focused only on military commands the computer had better developed fiefs and armies... Any way, for this price I cant recommend... Get a Computer Game instead of paying, what I consider, an expensive sum of money for an iDevice game.
What what what Very very very Disappppppoint ㅡㅡ;
It may not be the best version, but is playable and on the go. Way expensive for what you get. I would have settled for the snes version. The music is awesome to hear again.
I was really exited wen I found out about this. I thought it was gonna be like the rotk version but its doesnt even come close I mean all u can do in battle is attack instead of being able to set fire to enemy units and I thought there was gonna be gernerals in this game like mitsuhide akechi but theres just the commander. I dont kni if this is a glitch but wen I play the computer always build their armies faster than me even wen I concentrate on recruiting troops. Needs an update fast
The last Koei game Ill buy. Rtk Touch was bad enough. You had a blueprint from the old gameboy version. WTH is this?
This game is essentially the original with a few tweaks to get it on the iPhone and a new process for creating your Daimyo. Anyone who loved the original will love this! I got it 2 days ago and cant put it down. Well worth the price. Note to people who write bad reviews because a game is hard, lame! To those comparing it to ROTK, its not the same game! It wasnt originally either. Sheesh! If you learn how to play this game, its a blast!
Nobunagas ambition is one of the all time greatest games. It is not an easy game. Those who write bad reviews need to learn the strategy. Thanks koei for making this for iPod.
I loved this game when I used to play it it on the NES and SNES it is just as fun now. I wish Koei would make a Genghis Khan or Operation Europe for the iPhone/iPod.
It plays great! A bit challenging than the original (which means better AI). A perfect port for the iPhone. Just awesome!
